Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

JECES is committed to ensuring ethics in publication and the high quality of the articles it features. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes an unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

An author must have had a major impact on the work in order for their name to appear on a journal. As the article’s creator or co-author, one accepts responsibility for its content.

Each author or co-author

• must have made contribution via data collection, analysis, and/or interpretation.
• must have written/revised the proposed article significantly.
• must have agreed to the publication of the article.
• must have reviewed and accepted the final version of the article.
• must share accountability for any questions raised by the article’s content.

Authors must list any materials and literature they use in the footnotes and the bibliography. If reviewers or editors flag text passages during the review or editing process as incorrectly cited or verified, or otherwise in violation of the guidelines of good scientific practice, the author must correct the corresponding passages before publication. Willful or extensive violations will lead—after consultation between the managing editor and the editors-in-chief—to the rejection of the text concerned. If massive scholarly malpractice should come to light in a text that has already been published, this article will be removed from the archive at www.zfo-online.de.

If illustrations are used in an article, the responsibility for obtaining publication rights (print and online) lies with the author.
